Seed to Tree Workshop Series: Fashioning the Future

Thank you for your interest in the Seed-to-Tree Workshop series, organized by The New Children's Museum! The first workshop of the series is a 4-hour intergenerational workshop where participants will delve into the intersection of fashion, art, and social connectivity inspired by the visionary works of Octavia E. Butler. Guided by Earthseed Fellow, Denali Jöel, a multidisciplinary artist and fashion griot, participants will explore the concept of interconnectedness through the creation of future-forward garments that symbolize unity, resilience, and sensory connectivity.
